K, I didn't die from the capsule...
I also stopped that jazzed-up liquid Tylenol thing too! Giving me a hot flash (dumping?), and bizarre dreams. Also made me too drugged to keep my mouth closed with my CPAP on; I was waking myself up snoring, gurrgling, Bronx cheers, you name it! All I really need is some nice Tylenol PM- in tablet!

Tid bits...some may be TMI??
- No problem wiping my own po-po. I just move veeeeerrrrry slowly. The flushable wipes are great at this time too.
- I'm drinking Boost Glucose Control; it has Benefiber in it, so pooping is all good. (Drinking 4 fl oz at a whack, 3 times a day. I think I need a bit more...)
- Warning about the shower!...my balance seems to be off a bit. Almost got soap in my eyes, turned w/my eyes closed. Big mistake! Balance is better w/eyes open!
- Darn it! Still can't sleep on my side!
- Seriously, a coloring book and crayons can be fun at my age! A friend gave it to me; she said when you're hospitalized, you have the attention span of a gnat. It's mindless, cheap, and non-caloric. It doesn't hurt to do.
- What does a full pouch feel like? Probably different to some. For me: You know when you feel like you are on the verge of heartburn, and you know if you burp you can clear that lump at the bottom of your esophagus? Like that! Had some SF Jello last night; got in 1/4 to 1/3 cup over a 1/2 hr period, then got that feeling. I think I had gotten it before w/water, but didn't know it.
- I am still picking glue off my body after 2 sponge baths and 2 showers. Whatever glue they use on those little EKG sensors, they should have tried on the Space Shuttle tiles!
- There are 2 marks on my back, opposite sides, practically identical. My honey says the look like abrasions. What did they do to me in surgery when I was out like a light?
- There were no tubes down my throat or up my nose when I woke from surgery. They did have my CPAP on me.
- My incision (I had open) starts at the "bra" line, dead center, straight down, about 6 to 7 inches. Stops 4 inches short of my belly button. (Big belly).
- I'm told the surgeon used stiches on the inside of me, then used Derma-Glue to close up the outside, sort of like Super Glue.
- Very, very wise people on the forum. I am turning into a SF Popsicle whore, as warned. I'm sure they are waaaaaaaay better for me than the Black Russian w/Vanilla Absolut that was my drink before...
