I was denied to. We are considered at risk for 3 years post op...as we can still have complications that arise later. I opted for a higher premium...thank god I did...as I was in the hospital twice last year...without that insurance, I would have had to shell out $25K. I was helathy and had no problems until the ER stuff happend..so at least get coverage for emergancy stuff.


Unless you can qualify at work...employer based insurance can't discriminate, but private can.
