I know what you're talking about. Most of the time (95%) I have the same exact pain -- and it's due to an empty pouch. If I take the meds (and I do crush / break the pills at the direction of my doctor) on an empty pouch, my pain is gone -- but then replaced with pain in my pouch area.

You may want to try different medicines if taking it with something like applesauce or crackers doesn't help. Certain meds cause the pain for me no matter what -- hence the 95%.
