Thanks everyone for your support and good advice.
Carol, your issues are so like mine. I am learning to chew and eat slowly as that seems to be key. As far as water, I used to be a major water drinker. I was carrying bottles of water before it was COOL!!! NOw, GULP, it is very difficult to drink. I start each day with a 24 oz. bottle and sip it throughout the day. I love tea and have found many scrumptious herbal varieties and feel that they are as good as water since I can get it down. I drink tea hot as well as cold.
PIlls are a challenge for me. Especially iron, I end up tasting metal all day or night.
any suggestions??
Over all I feel really great!! People are really noticing my weight loss (49 #'s since Thanksgiving) They are happy for me and much more understanding of my decision. That has really surprised me, as I thought people would not be kind and perhaps be judgemental. The best compliment is when someone says how healthy I look. That is my motivation to get in the protien, water, vitamins and work outs. I did this for my health and I have to keep up my end of the bargain. It keeps me going!! I keep reminding myself that I am in the Honeymoon phase.
Food is so weird in my head now. This part I would like to never change. Food is just food. Halleluiah!! How can I keep this???
By the way, I went to my P.C.P. and she was not happy that Kelly released me to full duty no restrictions for work. She revoked that release and gave me another one to turn into H.R. with restrictions. Fortunately I hadn't turned in the one from Kelly yet. Even though work is great about it, I felt better having it official. My boss was almost in tears yesterday showering me with gratitude that I came back to work. It's good to be appreciated.
Once again thank you all for listening and being my support!!!
Love you all, I am going to try to make the Feb 17 meeting and see you all in person!!
