I tolerate the apple juice with water mixed. I fill the cup with ice then half apple juice and half water, I sip on that in the kitchen, my frappuccino at the nurses station and the water fountain at the elevator. LOL, thats how I get my fluid in at work. Strange but it works out good. Sometimes I can get two or three of those apple juice cups down in one shift, depending on level of conscience of my patients. I guess thats another thing ice blended mocha has going for it, besides milk, for protein and calcium, it has two cups of ice also. I dilute all my fluid with water because it is just too strong. When I go to the fast foods drive thru they think I am nuts because I order a large tea full of ice and half water. I just cannot tolerate anything full strength anymore. I must also confess that in a 20 ounce bottle of water I once added 2 ounces of mountain dew. It tasted like mountain dew believe it or not without the bubbles, I also tried a margarita in Las Vegas, and it burned my pouch, but I liked the salt. I am almost a year post op but I would consider me still new. Still learning my way around this new world. I hope I never want to drink full strength anything again. I don't crave soda, I wouldn't mind a pepsi and milk once in a while but I don't miss soda. I tried the mountain dew because the only other thing to brighten up my water was beer and I hate beer.
okay Hugs,
Traci
