Can anyone give me some advice on resistance training. We do "weights" and resistance training in my water aerobics class, my question is, should I also be doing some other weight exercises on off days? Right now I'm taking water aerobics mon, wed and sat, and will be doing elip and core on tues, thurs. I know you're supposed to do weights every other day as to rest the muscles, but don't know if the water aerobics class qualifies. Any advice?

It's an interesting question. Water aerobics is just that - aerobic exercise, rather than purely resistance. And considering how weights are used in the aerobics, I doubt you would do any damage if you were doing resistance work on your days in between.
You can do resistance (pure resistance) every day, as long as you alternate muscle groups. For my clients, I advise upper body work one day, then lower body and core work (back, abs, obliques) the next. If you're going to put them on the days in between your water aerobics, you should be able to work an entire resistance line on Tuesdays, and add lower body to your core work on Thursdays.
