Default fasting blood sugar 150, PCP hesitant on referral for GBS

it just seems like I'm in my PCP's office constantly.. he has scheduled another fasting blood sugar test + a two hour glucose tolerance test. He said if the 1st one is 125 or more, not to bother having the two hour one-diabetes is evident. wehn I told him I had a appt. with a GBS specialist, and needed a referral from him, he looked shocked...!!! I'm 5'5", 238 pounds, and have more pills and diagnoses that I care to mention......!!! you name it, I have it.....!!! now with diabetes added...... I can't wait until February 6th for my initial consultation.....!!! and I have my husband's full support, another wonderful surprise......!!!
To be honest and frank, up until about 8 months ago, I nevr considered myself obese; it was always those other "fat" people that needed the help--I just needed to lose a "few" pounds.... what really hit me was the trouble I was having wiping my own butt(ha ha-grose, huh..??) but true.......!!!
I'm on this site for hours at a time reading everything......!!! everyone is truly a blessing, especially for a newbie just starting the process.....!!!
thanks for listening......!!!
