Okay, I finally tried these and they were good!! They tasted quite a bit different from the other kind. I would say they kind of had the taste of French Toast, to me, minus the bread.  I put a bit of sugar free preserves on mine. I cut the recipe in half and ate one pancake and feed the other 2 to my daughter who liked them too.
So if you are looking for a french toast kind of taste, I would try this! *G*
I kind of liked using the oatmeal instead of the flour for this one. I may try oatmeal in the other one and see if it works as well as the flour.
