The Cottage Cheese test done to test the size of the pouch...see this link for a previous discussion on it

Cottage Cheese Test

I haven't tried it as I can't get down the cottage cheese!

Also this other post that talks a lot about the opening:

If anastamosis is too large. What can be done?

Have you looked under nutrition, recipes? Beth (Milady) has a great recipe for cottage cheese pancakes that I tried last night, and they are awesome. They sounded awful, but I trust Beth so I thought I would try them....oh so good.
