For 2 weeks out I was on full liquids...cream soups, jello, pudding, etc. I did try pinto beans at that stage, and they were fine..but I added water to them so that they'd go through the little opening easier. I am very careful about what I put in that pouch since I had a blockage 1 week after my 1st surgery. So my advice would be to take it easy..I wouldn't attempt the mac & cheese, but that's just my opinion. It seems too soon. Pasta should be avoided early on...at least that's what I've heard. The only thing I've had that's close to pasta is chicken and stars soup. It's really a crap shoot..like Barb said..what agrees with one person may not with another. Just take it easy..don't try a bunch of new things at once. 1 new food a week. Good luck! It does get better and easier. I'm not that far out, but already am able to eat a variety of good, healthy foods..in very small quantities.
