For me, the first two weeks consisted of mostly liquids and very soft foods...
For drinking,,try flavored waters, crystal lite, sugar free popsicles are awesome..I also did very well with warm beverages like decaf coffee or decaf tea or even sugar free hot cocoa. As for eating,,,soft foods,,,mashed potatoes, pintos and cheese from Taco Bell were easy to get down,,,,soups, jello, cottage cheese....etc.
As for trying a bite of mac and cheese,,I say try a small taste and see how it sets with you,,,everyone is different...we all handle our foods differently, so it is just trial and error from here on out...Good luck
