I'm sooooo glad your marriage survived!!!! I like hearing good news about that. We go through so much and as you say...people think it's because of our appearances. You hit in on the head....it's the overcoming, of not failing, of triumphing over this disease that gives us our lives back.

It truly is a transfomration...not just a change. You have to give up any thing that will hold you back. Often that means friends, family, work, school, old beliefs, whatever it is that isn't growing with you. It's not all gloomy...you will get so much more in return. The ugly little worm sequesters itself in a hard cacoon before turing into a butterfly. Do you think that butterfly starts seeking out it's wormy friends? No, it flutters it's wings and soars into the sky with the other butteflies. Count you blessings even further if one of your wormy friends becomes a butterfly too and meets you in the sky!
