I went out shopping with my husband today and we stopped at Quizno's (since we'd been out for 3 hours at that point and he was starving). The only thing on the menu that looked even REMOTELY close to something I could have was the chicken noodle soup, which I had a cup of, plus a bottle of water. (Bad me-- I ate the broth, AND the chicken, noodles, and veggies.)
So now I feel like I'm going to hell for "breaking" the liquid diet.
Oye, this is going to be a long week... I find myself fantasizing for week 2 post-op, when I can legitimately have soup again (albeit pureed)... and blessed Week 3, when I can actually have an EGG and HUMMUS, woohoo!
Aside from my chicken noodle soup infraction, I've kept to NSA CIB, beef and chicken broth, and SF jello... does anyone have any other suggestions for stuff I can eat in this phase? I'm getting seriously sick of sweet-tasting stuff and just wish I could have something savory instead, besides beef or chicken broth.

I found that once I started food again, it was such a difficult learning process that I wished I didn't have to eat at all!
SF Popsicles, though they are sweet. Water things down? My husband is a chef and made me a tomato consume that helped me out a lot. It isn't the easiest dish to prepare, but maybe theres a rest. nearby that would make you one?
If you are tempted by nasty things like noodles and veggies in the future, just ask your husband to throw whatever it is you know you don't want to eat, away. I still ask my husband to throw things away. As I mentioned, he's a chef and once in a while I have to say - DH, I can't clean up this dinner because I'm going to eat leftovers until I barf. He doesn't mind taking over to help me out.
For later, in restaurants it is also possible to get a "leftovers" container with your meal, put in what you know you shouldn't eat and then have only your good healthy meal on your plate. Like - I can have one soft taco at this point with some tomatoes and lettuce, but that cheese and sour cream is too tempting. I get rid of it as soon as it comes out. The salsa is all I need!
Anyway - just kick yourself in the booty and realize that you can do this for two lousy weeks. Take it one day at a time and keep your eye on the prize! Your health is the bottom line here. Many folks have survived this stage - and you will too!!
