Default Have you heard the latest about Hank's?

I would like to pass on this information to you..... I found this information on another forum and think it should be shared with you. In the recent Unjury newsletter it states they had an independent lab test Unjury and Hank's.
Here is a portion of the statement that I think you should all know about.

We recently noticed that several online messages about a protein supplement named Hank’s mentioned that the users experienced dumping syndrome after consuming the supplement. This raised the possibility and concern that this product contained a large amount of sugars. So we sent it off to one of the largest independent testing laboratories, Silliker Labs, to be evaluated. They can be found at www.Silliker.com . The Hank’s samples had less than half the protein claimed, and roughly 9 times the sugars claimed.

We ordered two containers of Hank’s Protein (chocolate flavor) by mail. We forwarded the box unopened to Silliker Laboratories. For comparison, we sent a sealed, unopened container of UNJURY Chocolate as well.

We ran two sets of tests on the samples, and the second set confirmed the first.

If you would like to see the detail for both the Hank’s samples and the UNJURY sample, you can view the certificates of analysis at:

The UNJURY sample results were entirely consistent with the UNJURY label.

I am pre-op and having nothing to do with either company. I am just now ordering samples and trying different protein. Several members on the other forum had complaints from dumping, to being auto shipped when they didn't request it, sent the wrong protein when Hank's was out of their preferred type, incorrect charges on credit card, and yesterday Hank's phone lines were disconnected. Some of these are just poor customer service, but others more serious.

I called the phone numbers myself yesterday and today and they were disconnected. I had ordered samples and received a follow up email (yesterday) from them and asked why their phones were disconnected. They replied that their phones were working. I tried again, still disconnected. I emailed them back and this is their reply.

"Angela,

You were right. For some reason, Bellsouth (our phone company) disconnected our line.
Here is another phone number, If you would like to call us - 305-534-7989
We are working on the phone right now. Hopefully, it should be working properly very soon.

A lady says she was able to get through today and asked about Unjury's claims. Here's the post....

"Well I called the 305-534-7983 number for Hank's and someone answered. I didn't speak with Hank but the guy on the phone said they are aware of the lab results sponsored by Unjury. I was told they are in the process of having other labs test their product. The guy claimed that the mass production company they used "lied to them" about what they put in shakes. He couldn't give me why they were not following Hanks formula. I left my name and number for Hank to call me back because I want to know if they will be issuing refunds. I'll keep you all posted if I hear anything."

So, make of it what you will. At this point I am leary at best. I opened my sample (curiosity got the best of me) and the first thing I thought was hmmmm that's smells like Nestle's Quick (that my son loves). Use your own judgement about using this product.
