heres a thread to share with y'all when it happened to me. The same EXACT thing you described Steph. Peroneal Nueropathy is the clinical diagnosis!

Peroneal nueropathy

Every now and again I it reoccurs, but I just stop crossing and it subsides with time. It got to the point with my drop foot that I had to wear an AFO. (ankle foot othosis) It scared the beejeezus outta me!
