Default Who says pregnancy isn't good for the figure...

Hi,

It has been months since I have last posted, shortly after my one year anniversary in which I discovered I was pregnant. At that time I weighed in at 204. The pregnancy went well. For months I hardly showed, people did not believe that I was far along as I said I was. I was slightly worried how the bypass would affect the pregnancy and the birth weight. Towards the end of the pregancy I was ravenous and found that I was eating constantly. I was afraid that I would gain excess weight because I could not stop eating. On November 2nd, my son, Michael was born four days beyond his due date. A whopping 9lbs 6.5 ozs and no I did not have gestational diabetes.

I am two weeks out from having the child and weigh 195. I am lighter now than when I first got pregnant. The ravenous cravings have gone away and for the first time in months last night I dumped (reminder, curtail sugar intake). The dumping was non existent when I was pregnant. I honsetly could eat anything without reaction. When I figured that out I pushed the limits to see what I could get away with. It is funny what hormones allow your body to do and to overcome. I am glad that the dumping has returned.

I have attached a photo of the "little guy". I just need to make sure that now that the cravings are gone that I keep my calorie intake up because I am breastfeeding. Now that the hunger has left I find that I am not nearly intaking the amount of calories that we both need. I find that I forget to eat because I am so busy tending to his needs.
