I am now 10 days post op and have noticed a change in smell and taste...Yesterday I scrambled an egg (and I loved scrambled eggs before surgery) and I could not stand it,,I put cheese on it,,,and still,,couldn't stand it...today I tried cottage cheese which I hated before surgery, and it actually tasted good....My favorite of all before surgery was chocolate so I bought some chewable chocolate flavored calcium pills and I CAN NOT get myself to swallow,,the taste is disgusting
,,,My husband has told me he notices me complaining of "smells" now,,,something I never did before...I guess everything is intensified now...strange,,but I thought I'd ask if it happens to you guys too...Thanks!
