Good thing to do is increase your calories as they suggested to you and do it by eating what works best for you.
At 2 year plus, I can eat 3/4 to 1 cup of food depending on whether or not it is protein mixed with veggies or mostly veggies mixed with protein. I sure can't eat a whole cup of meat...I would just die.

definitely each profession gives different advice, i was told no butter only soft margarine labeled as non-hydrogenated, also no cream cheese, and i have seen many posts saying they eat cream cheese, the book she gave me also said no gravy and i have been using gravy to moisten blended foods, and when i told her that, she said it was fine, contradicting the info she gave me, so i am just taking the info she gave me and doing what works for me, it is a good guide portion/time wise if someone can follow it, and there are people out there far enough out that are off track on over eating that may want to follow it, thats why i shared it, its not for everyone, and i will adjust it to fit me, i am not even at 1/4 cup yet, so i cant even imagine being able to eat this much, and i dont do snacks, too dangerous i think....how would i be able to stop that later when the weight loss stalls if i start snacking now? there is lots of suggestions in the info i got that contradict pouch rules for dummies, the guide i was given follows the canadian food guide, that is what is taught here to dieticians and i think no matter what person goes to see them for whatever reason, they think everyone should follow that balanced eating guide, i dont agree, i will still go by getting in protein first, then if i have my 60 grams+ then i will eat veggies and other stuff, but i am still not at the 60 grams most days, so that is my first priority, maybe this info she gave me will come in handy once i am further out.
