I went in for my 6 month check up (in my 7th month) on Thursday, and the NP was totally pleased with my weight loss (although I wish it would speed up a bit). She said that all of my vitamin levels were within normal to high-normal range and to continue doing what I am doing. She asked me what a normal food day looked like and I told her I stopped keeping my journal, but knew in my head that I average 90-120 grams a day,and she called me the WLS Poster Child
I am at that point where I have about 30 pounds left to lose, so I asked her how I would know whether or not I have a hernia. She checked me and on the upper right side of my incision I was really tender when she poked me and felt around, so she said I had a small one there, and then she found an umbilical hernia by by belly button. I have an appointment in January for my physical, which is required for the hernia repair, so hopefully I can shed the majority of this weight before then, and I can take my next step - the hernia repair/TT!!! She pulled all my loose skin forward and said, "Feel your hips how tight they are?" I said "yep". She said that would be me after the TT and without the flab she was holding. I am soooo excited!!!
Just wanted to update - thanks for letting me ramble
