Michelle, I know what Carrie is going through as we have the same doctor. Pre-op he basically said small portions, no milk and the rest will come. On discharge from the hospital, you get a 2 page sheet for your own doctor and on there is 2 lines about eating.

What I learned I learned here and from the dietician that I requested. Its very different here in Canada. I did buy 2 GBP books pre WLS and they helped very, very much. I took the info in here and asked the dietician, the doctor and my thinner times friends.

My surgeon was forthcoming with information, but only if I asked.
