Default Let Me Be The First!!

It looks like we have a new place to chat. I would love to break the ice and begin, by introducing myself.

My name is Rain, I had surgery with Dr. Callery on Dec 27, 2004.
Yes, it has changed my life.

The road is bumpy and it certainly is not the easiest way to lose weight, but for me it was the surest.
My top weight was 296, I was 285 the day of surgery and I currently tip the scales between 165 and 169. I refuse to ever go above that.

I have had a few complications, including 2 hernias, anemia and an intubation granuloma. Even with these problems, I still would do it again.

I had the hernias repaired in March, at which point I had a partial body lift. You can bounce a dime on my abs!! I love it!

I am not an advocate for weight loss surgery, but, if you decide that surgery is what is best for you than I will be your biggest supporter!!

I hold a support meeting in my home on second Tuesdays. Anyone is welcome, whether you have had surgery, know someone who has had it or are just thinking about it.
We hold a very informal and fun meeting.

Personally, my life has not changed to drastically, as I was fortunate enough to marry a man who loves me at any size, however, loving myself is something that has improved our relationship, which I had a hard time doing before.
We have 3 kids and they love the new mom!
I once wore a size 2x/ 3x top and size 22 pants. I currently where medium tops and size 8/10 pants. My foot reamins a healthy 10!!

Welcome to anyone joining this forum, and thank you to all who have helped me by being here with the voice of experience!
