So now I am thinking..Obviously post op from what you are all saying I have to careful with protein and water.. When I get there I will have to stock up on some of the essentials as I am sure the casinos wont be selling a bowl of cottage cheese too readily!! Any suggestions on what I could get for down there to maintain my nourishment so I do not get run down? I dont want any surprises!! I will have to stock up on bottled water!!

If you do stock up on bottled water, make sure to get some of the powdered mixes to add to it - I'm nine months out now and still can't drink water plain--hurts Matilda the pouch.
Regarding the question of what was I doing at two weeks out, I was pretty much psychotic from the exhaustion and the pain meds, and was sobbing on the phone to my best friend something on the order of "what have I done!" Every single person is different--and here's hoping you have a great time.
Hotel service can be great in Las Vegas, according to where you're staying. If there's not one in your room, request a fridge--they'll be happy to bring you one. And there are grocery stores, just not on the Strip. Go down to where Tropicana Avenue crosses the Strip (the corner that has a massive casino on each side, New York, New York, the Trop, Excalibur, and MGM) and go east on Tropicana--as soon as you get past UNLV, there are grocery stores galore, Walgreens, etc. I lived in Las Vegas for four years...
