What an awful experience ! I hope you are feeling much better now! Did they feel it could possibly be related to any post -op issues? Also: Have you or anyone else been advised of the data now being studied on this surgery 3-5 years out and bone loss from lack of serious vitamin D ? I saw my physician the other day and he was telling me that now they are concentrating on Vitamin D "problems" found in GBP patients. Apparently, they are finding a growing number of patients (out about 3-5 years after surgery) who are having major bone disease.???? Told me to make sure I get 1500 calcium daily and 800 of Vitamin D (cod liver oil ???) This was the first I've heard of the increase in problems with bone disorder from surgery! Just thought I'd mention this and see if you or anyone else knows of this study. Good Luck and I really hope you are feeling better. Denise
