My best friend Leland has been telling me that I'm gonna be a size 8 pants and I've been telling him he's crazy. Most of the pants I'm wearing now are 12's and a few 14's still fit okay although I do have one size 11 jean skirt that fits perfect. So, today I'm buying a birthday present for my sister in Lane Bryant (ironically, I got stink-eye from a few of the staff and customers... whatever

), and I decide to go to Charlotte Russe to see if I can find a shrug to go over the cutest tank top in the world that I bought last week. Of course, there were many cute clothes that I had to try on, including a gorgeous pair of cropped tuxedo pants but the largest size was a 9. So, I grabbed it just to see what would happen...
THEY FREAKIN' FIT! and well too!
I'm totally beside myself. This week's weight loss has put me at a lower weight than the lowest weight I remember being, which was 186 when I was in 8th grade 22 years ago. I don't even know what to say. I've only got 15 lbs to hit my goal and then I know I've got a good 15-20 lbs of loose skin all over my body. I'm wearing medium shirts now - after another 30 lbs (hitting goal and plastic surgery) am I going to a... can I even say it... SMALL?!!
I just have to say to everyone who's having a hard time - whether it's because you're waiting for approval, are recently post op and don't feel well mentally or physically, or in a plateau after surgery - IT DOES GET BETTER. Follow the doctor's rules, try to exercise, drink your water, take your vitamins, and enjoy your new life. Life is really, really good. I'm happier than I've ever been in my entire life. Thank god for Dr. Callery. I love that man.
