I think for most people the answer is probably yes.... with moderation. But the real answer is that you have to change your mind set with the surgery. You can't just have the surgery and not be an active partner in making better choices. For some people, the surgery takes care of their choices because they dump from sugar/carbs. For others, not so much. Therefore, you will have to chose foods that will give you the nutrition you need and the right caloric intake.
