Thumbs up Hi Everyone...

Hi Everyone thanks for being concerned and I am sooo sorry that I have not been on to keep ya'all updated its just been one thing or another that I have been doing that has kept me from here so here I am now.

I am doing much better I went through my treatments as scheduled and had the body scan done and it appears that all went good only thing which is good I guess is that they originally wanted to see me back for another scan in 12 months but have decided to have me do another scan in 6 months to check the cancer better sooner then later I guess, however, I did have another surprise outpatient surgery I went in to my Dr. who did the surgery and he said that my scar on my neck was not good he said it was a Keloid scar and so while I was there he decided he would inject the scar with a Cortizone Steroid to see if it would smooth out and if the pain and redness I was having would go away well it did for about a week then it all just came back again so originally I had an appt with him again scheduled for June 20th but received a call from his office saying that Dr. Fitzgerald wanted to see me sooner then the originally scheduled appt on the 20th I said ok when does he want to see me she said asap I said ok she called me on May 22nd and said how about May 24th so I went in and he said ok I called you in eariler then originally scheduled because I was looking over your file again and I do not like your scar and I think that scar revision is going to be better done sooner then later like we discussed he said is this something you would be interested in doing he said I just really dont like the way your scar is growing and looking so I said well is insurance going to cover it since that may be considered cosmetic he said a Keloid scar is not cosmetic he said it doesnt matter anyways I am not going to charge you for the scar revision I said oohh well then yes by all means we can do it.....of course I did not know he was talking about doing it right there, right then geeezzzs talk about not being hesitant...lol...so he said ok let me have them prep the room and we can do this he said it will take about 45 minutes I said ok it all happened so fast I thought ok if anything I am going to get the dreaded Cortizone Shot again which hurt oohh Nooo, Scar revision was what it was going to be and this conversation took about 15 minutes and I was sitting in the chair tilted back was I Nervous?? HELL YES! I was thinking to myself when I was sitting tilted back in the chair is this really happening? so anyways he numbed me and waited a few minutes and then started cutting into my neck which I could semi feel him cutting out the old scar and pulling and cutting the skin off with scissors I was like OMG this is freaking weird so he cut out the scar stitched my neck back together with 8 internal stiches and one long continous stitch because I am allergic to the Steristrips that keep the incision closed he couldnt use any tape so he had no choice but to use the one continous stitch on the outer surface anyways so last Friday I got the stiches out and he said the incision looks better but thinks my neck is just extremely sensitive because now where the stiches were there are little tiny bumps which he said should go down but the scar does look much better then it was looking and it has flattened out alot, doesnt hurt as much and no so red anymore anyways so thats what has happened since my original surgery. I hope this catches everyone up on me and again sorry I havent been around. Thanks for asking and caring my friends.
