Sheesh, I guess mine was cheap! My hospital bill was around $17,000 if I remember right. I'm sure part of the reason it was cheaper is that my Doctor usually only keeps his lap rny patients over night. The Dr bill was something like $3,000 and I had to pay $1,000 of that plus $300 for the bariatric product he uses and $80 for the pre-op appointments with the Behaviorist, Internist and Surgeon. I pay nothing for the post-op visits which really blows me away. I don't even pay a co-pay! He sees us at 2, 4, 6, 8 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and YEARLY from one year on out. My insurance paid all of the hospital bill, thank goodness! I have Priority Health for insurance.
