I didn't have a breast augmentation but I did have a lot of plastic surgery (over $20,000 worth) that we paid for - insurance didn't cover it. I felt guilty about spending the money that way until I realized this was something that I was going to use every single second of the rest of my life. We had spent approx $15,000 on snowmobiles which we only used about 4-5 times a year and I never felt guilty about that. Why should I feel guilty about spending for something that would reconstruct my body and I would have the benefit of for every breathing moment for the rest of my life? Once I looked at it that way I was able to let go of the guilt.
