Yes, the surgery is supposed to help with this but in the meantime, you need your CPAP. YOu will be required to wear your CPAP for quite a while after surgery until they do further sleep studies and find that you are no longer apneic. The cpap will help you HEAL after your surgery and also help you be healthier heading into surgery so you should look at it as a GOOD THING!
