Default Unexpected angels?

I had the most unexpected support "angel" last evening at work. I just wanted to share the experience because it really touched me.

I work in a regional burn center as an RN but occasionally I am "pulled" to work in the surgical/medical critical care department. One of the critical care physicians has so unexpectedly shown me support post-op. This isn't a doctor I know real well but enough to know each other by name. Ever since he found out I had WLS he frequently has asked me how I'm doing whenever we do happen to pass in the halls. Last evening, once again he wondered how I was doing. Of course he wanted to know all of the "doctor" things, like my weight loss, joint pain, breathing, blood sugars, etc and he was thrilled when I told him how much all of those have improved since surgery. He looked truly happy for me and told me, "As a friend I have been worried about your health and I just wanted you to know how proud of you I am for making this decision and how happy I am for you. I really am!" I have to tell you it almost made me cry, I was so touched by his words. He is a doctor who takes care of the patients in the ICU which occasionally includes WLS patients. He knows what can go wrong but still he is a true supportor of this surgery. His comments have really reinforced in me that I have made the right decision.

So, I'm just curious. Has anyone else experienced an unexpected angel after surgery? If so, I would love to hear about it.
