I think it dependds on the consistency and heaviness of what you're eating and we're definitely all different. I could probably eat an entire chicken pot pie- the small single servings ones. For dinner I've had a salisberry steak, mashed potatos and corn but it's probably 2-3 tbsp mashed potatos and 1 tbsp of corn. The heavier and greasier the food, the less I can eat (I can't even touch sausage which I used to love).
I can eat 1/2 of a garden salad from a fast food place- they seem to serve them huge though. I probably eat 3-4 oz of meat for dinner and 1-2 tbsp of some other type of side like some apple wedges, salad (maybe 1/2 cup) or some steamed veggies.
I'm not sure about the vomiting though - never had that problem (almost unfortunately ...)
