Default Week 14

Today is the start of week 14. So weigh in today...and I was only down 2 pounds from 2 weeks ago. I actually went up and down 2 pounds, but at least I am in the 250's now. April 5th, I was 12 pounds heavier, so 12 pounds in a month...I will take it..The inches....took off a few more. Funny that the inches on my waist (where most of my weight is) came down 9 inches from surgery, my chest (below the bust) about 7. The rest comes from hips, arms and thighs. Happy with that. Patient with the stupid scale

Yesterday was an interesting day for me. Spent most of the day outside working on the house and enjoying the family. I made up a plate of good foods for us to eat while doing the house work. I have been feeling so normal lately that I forget that I had surgery. I found myself grazing on the food and drinking at the same time. It wasn't until we stopped to have a break that I realized. It didn't make me feel sick at the time- but I think I paid the price later on.

Had a BBQ for supper with foods that I have been eating all along....well not tonight....I puked my guts out for almost 2 hours. To the point of tears strolling down my face. My husband said that I didn't eat anything that I shouldn't have...so why am I so sick...

I think the answer is eating too fast, not chewing well enough and then having grazed in the afternoon while drinking my fluids. Probably made things swell up in my stomach. Lesson for the day. Keeps meals and liquids separate and chew food slowly and well.

The transition from having to think about food ALL THE TIME after surgery to living life again is challenging. Every stage that I go through is a new lesson. I am very surprised that my body didn't fight me drinking and eating at the time. This is scary....I could get back into old habits very easily.

So one day off track in 13 weeks, I think thats pretty good. The work days are so much easier to keep on track as I am so busy at work and have set meal times. At home its a little more laid back on the weekend.
