What happens if yo go back to the guy who couldnt get it right the first time, and he encounters a SERIOUS problem? Then will your insurance step in or will you be thousands of dollars in debt attempting to try and correct the problem on a cash basis? It appears as though you are putting the horse in front of the cart. Why would you want to go BACK to the surgeon who didnt get it right the first time? Also if this is the case, there are special circumstances that your insurance carrier cab pay that original physician for his servcices considering your prior history and relationship with him.... alsoi WHY is he no longer contrcted? Is he a good surgeon? My wish for you is that the next surgery you have is your last... that was my wish for you 2 surgeries ago...... I just want you to do the right thing, not the desperate thing. The reason the speialists wont do it, is because your situation is a delicate one and that there is a high risk involved..... I know i worked for a surgeon. Many a time we saw patients that were unfortunately "botched up" and there was nothing that the surgeon could do, deapite his skill , to fix the problem..... just make the right choice... when all is said and done and you are scheduled for surgery and the day before you a short $10.. I will drive it to you. Its not the $$$$$ its the situation that concerns me and others. We arent mean, or stingy with cash... we're concerned... and you are going to notice that those of us who are concerned are ones that work in the medical field, regardless if we/they know you or not. Im worried for you Dale, thats all.

Thank you for worrying. I am worried, too. I am so worried about not being able to work every day. I am worried that I will lose my home from being disabled. The problem that I am having will be fixed this time. I will have to explain it. The second surgery I had, the mesh popped up and I think it was because I couldn't stop vomiting in the hospital. the next surgery was a revision of the upper part of the mesh where the surgeon trimmed the top down. It feels great up there now. Problem is the lower quadrant and the specialists tell me that since I have lost so much weight, I don't have any cushion there to prevent the mesh from diving into my pelvis. I also believe that as I started working again, the movement from walking has caused the mesh to settle into a lower postition thus causing the rubbing. There isn't any flexiblity in that area and I believe gravity and the fact that we wls patients are constanly shiftin weight and skin causes this to happen. Each specialist that I have been too have given me their opinions and all of them have agreed with this. My sister sees hernia repairs on a daily basis and she feels that since I had wls...it made it a bit more difficult since I lost more weight since the repair and things have shifted. I have faith in this surgeon and he did not lose his contract with Pacificare. I asked the medical director and he told me the surgeon chose not to renew the contract. He said they just didn't pay as well as the other companies. I am ok with everything and comfortable going with him. I am going to try to see if my employer will help me since they are going to help me with the grievance. I have not been the first to be denied a service at my employment. When it comes time to renew, maybe they will switch the carrier. Anyway, I am ok with everything and everyone's opinions here. It is quite all right with me. Most of you don't even know me and care so much about me. I am so beside myself right now....I just can not thank you all enough for caring.
I will try not to keep you all posted as I do not want to upset anyone further.
